The Factory of Categories app was created by a certified speech and language pathologist for children aged 3 and up to practice classifying and naming categories. The ability to group objects according to their common characteristics is a basic concept that helps children build a basis for organizing not only their semantic knowledge but also their world. Classifying and categorizing provide the foundation for problem solving, remembering and integrating new information.
The animation and colorful graphics of the Factory of Categories app makes the learning process fun and motivating as children classify and organize different objects in the factory, where they pack boxes, put different objects on the wagons and throw certain objects in the bin.
The Factory of Categories includes over 100 categories organized into three levels of difficulty. The first level includes simple categories such as food, animals, and toys, etc. The second level includes moderately complex categories such as reptiles, things in the air, and directions, etc. The third level includes the most complex categories such as gems, gases, things that expire, etc.
